Forge is a new casual eaterie that offers top quality soup, sandwiches, tasty treats and great coffee during the day as well as delicious pizza in the evening. Forge, created by Adrian and Deirdre Murphy, opened in July 2020, as a pop up project created during lockdown, and within a few short weeks, Forge is quickly building a reputation as the best place to enjoy pizza in the midlands.
The name is quite simply inspired by the building that Forge inhabits; it was an old forge back in the mid 1800s.

At Forge we are passionate about food and are members of the slow food movement which is all about connecting people through ‘good, clean, fair’ food.
We offer delicious homemade pizzas that are freshly prepared and cooked in our Italian stone oven.
Our homemade pesto is made from fresh basil grown in our polytunnel. Our homegrown herbs are sourced from our own herb gardens at Mount Druid and our chilliest of peppers are fresh from our glass house.

We have a wonderful team at Forge. We are hugely proud to have been able to create 25 jobs for the local community and everyone on the team here is passionate about the food and the relaxed chilled atmosphere that create a really unique and special experience in a beautiful and unique village setting.
On request we can make your pizza with our gluten free base.
We grow our own basil
